Exploring Wada Hoppah:

Wada Hoppah won the prized international Gustave Trouve award for electric boat design in December 2024. Our shallow draft, electric, wakeless design beat 6 countries that already have zero emissions, electric water transportation! A big win for Massachusetts and the USA.

    About Wada Hoppah

WINNER, 2024 Gustave Trouve Award, Commercial Electric Passenger Vessel in Development

    Why now?

The City of Boston and its surrounding inland neighbor cities are stuck in a hard spot. They are swollen with traffic, rife with road disruptions, and our public transportation is unreliable and at times, dangerous. Now is the perfect time to introduce an emissions-free form of inland water transportation.

Benefits are reduced car traffic, no C02 emissions, no tire particulate, noiseless, climate supportive commuting, cleaner water, and even decreased drunk driving. Made in the Massachusetts.

    Docks

The Charles has multiple docks that are usable for WadaHoppah service, and several that could use some love.

Red dots are docks that are able to be used as 2024 stopping points which are also accessible.

All docks are rated accessible by WhereToWheel.

Blue dots are potential, future stops.

(Gloucester St. dock the only exception as repairs are underway).
