You can't just put a stock boat on the Charles River.

It's One of a Kind

In order for us to hit our goals of a point to point service from Watertown Square to Beacon Hill, we need a special boat. This couldn't just be purchased. Trust us, we tried.

It had to be designed from the ground up.

It has to be shallow draft, wakeless, all electric, while also being comfortable, quiet and elegant.

Predicting the future

Charles Eliot wanted *electric* water ferries in 1894!!

This comes directly from the Dept. of Conservation and Recreation, "Master Plan 2002!" Extraordinary! Little did he know we'd carry out his legacy!

Charles Eliot was the Harvard Architect and designer of the Charles River Basin!
